So when I got an email from Donna Louise Designs it was a breath of fresh air. Her cushion designs are unique and funky like nothing you will find in the High Street, not to say they would be out of place there. They are made from high quality heavy polyester satin and the backs are made from soft Italian suede, each cushion measures 19” x 19”.

I really like the homeware department at Matalan you can walk in and pick anything up and know you don’t really have to look at the price before you decide to buy as everything is such great value. This is not to say that it has no style, as can be seen from this Venetian tissue box (£8.00) simple clean design to hold your tissues.

For some homeware is all about designer furniture for me though it’s more about using what is available and affordable to cerate a unique home for yourself, so there is nothing wrong with mixing your Matalan with your designer bling.

The summer is here and despite the UK weather being a little unpredictable the popularity of fans has never been higher. Years ago you would never find fans in every shop you walk into , now they are around every corner. Leather Rocker Chair

There was a time when the humble rocking chair was made out of wood and was the domain of the grandfather of the family, life went on whist he quietly sat and contemplated a youth gone by a long time ago. There was also a time when the furniture and homeware was only sold by the specialist store and not by supermarkets.

This leather rocker (notice NOT rocking chair) changes all the misconceptions, firstly it is made out of trendy leather and it sits on the floor , not some wodden frame. Secondly I found it being sold by ASDA and not some specialist chair store, the world is changing everyone is selling homeware.

This chair will serve it purpose it is relatively cheap it is trendy and you could easily see a 20 something sitting on it playing video games into the early hours. A great little item from ASDA.
