I love a good old cuppa and who doesn’t? well ok there may be a few people out there that don’t like a cup of tea. The worst time of day is in between cups of tea especially in the morning. So the best way to remind yourself of the fragrance of your favorite cuppa is to use this Tea scented candle.

So the only smell is not tea , but this Black Tea candle has a rich and dark scent of musk, bergamot, pine and tea. That sounds lovely to me.  I wonder if they do one with milk and two sugars.

The candle complete with holder and a burning time of 40 hours can be yours for £18.00 from Utility Design

At Homecheeq we like to bring you a vast array of products that we think are great.  They could range from the everyday homeware store type products to something truly unique like this chandelier from Tigermoth Lighting

The chandelier is made up of hundreds of individual strands of black oxidized chain, which according to the website means it can cast a hundred different shadows which are never the same due to the nature of the chains moving in the breeze.

It sure does look good and can be custom made in 6 weeks if you are willing to part with £1,498.00 – £1,698.00 depending on the size of product you want.

Michelle Mason has designed these simple but elegant candle holders, they give a real sturdy feel to the whole candle holding business (if there is such as thing). What I mean is there is no sense of the candles being delicately balanced, and the design is great too, slightly space aged (because they remind me of the eggs from the Aliens films) .

The website says you can watch the candles drip like egg yolk , you would of course need yellow candles but I get the idea now , quite clever really.

Sold as a pair: Large Egg 15cm (h,) Medium Egg 12 cm (h) – £69.75 , more info here

retro floral lamp shade

Retro is the in thing you could say it’s the future or in a manner of speaking Back to the future (you see what I did there?). Being serious for a moment there is something about retro homewares which really makes them fit into todays homes. Maybe it’s the simplicity of the designs , maybe it is the boldness of the colours that add a little zing to a clean open living space, whatever it is every home should have a little Retro zing.

This handmade retro lampshade uses a Japanese floral pattern to bring it to life. From the people at Hunkydoryhome this is just one of many fantastic items on the site, and they are all handmade to order hence you get a unique item everytime.

Can Table lamp

Yellow on the inside with one hell of a design glow the Can table lamp looks absolutely stunning,  with a price of  £333.00, it is one for the high end market. But not one being one to shudder at mere cost I thought I would share this with you. Found over at TwentyTwentyOne it was hard to decide which item I should  write about there is so much beautifully designed stuff on their site. When I buy my luxury penthouse in the  Hollywood Hills I’m taking this lamp with me, so you going to have to buy your own.

Tabriz Stained Glass Lantern

If you love the whole Middle Eastern ethnic look of your lanterns then you will love this too, the Tabriz lantern from The Pier has all the classic feel of the East. It’s flowing Eastern shape offset by the colorful center of the lantern gives it a great genuine feel.

So next time you light a candle just think how much better it would look lighting up one of these.

Nothing could be simpler in concept than this great Droog Design light, it’s simply a six watt light blub with a sticker on the back to attach it to the walls, windows, roofs or wherever you want. All you need is a little bit of creative imagination and you could easily create great lighting effects.

Each individual lamp costs £17.50 from Dutch by Design, the only thing that you may need to consider is where you are going to plug all those lamps in if you have several in a single place.

Lighting is something that can make a real difference to any room in a home. This amazing piece of design and workmanship from scp.co.uk combines 85 bulbs to form one chandelier. It’s amazing how all those wires avoid being tangled. I’ve not really seen anything like this simple concept before. Great for any Living Space, I’d avoid high ceilings though as there won’t be many volunteers wanting to go up there and change a few of those bulbs.
