Crushed coffee cup for life

Sunday
Jul 13,2008

Do not adjust your monitors, do not think why there is a crushed plastic cup being blogged on Homecheeq.com, this is not a test. What this IS for sure is a real coffee cup (or tea for us English) designed to look like a crushed cup as the picture above shows.

Designed by Rob Brandt it is described by site Made in Design as a classic of design so many of you may have seen it already, however there is nothing wrong with having classic designs on Homecheeq.com or indeed in your home. So for the £4.95 not only can you get a design classic but also something to amuse your friends with.

There is nothing more British than a cup of tea, but it has to be the right mug you can’t be drinking from a summery mug in the middle of winter it just wouldn’t be right would it. With these four seasons mugs from Noddle you can enjoy your favourite beverage in a mug to reflect the seasons outside.

Made from fine china with a ingenious photographic print that gives each mug a seasonal feel to it. Starting at £34.00 including the post and packaging there is little reason for anyone to resist these mugs.

Herb Ladder

This great piece of design and convenience comes from Denmark, there is nothing like Scandinavian elegance when it comes to modern contemporary design. The herb ladder as it is called allows you to fill the porcelain pots with herbs or even tea lights. If you opt for the herb option you can have fresh herbs at hand for your cooking and add to the greenery in your home at the same time. There is nothing to say that you must place this ladder in your dining room , I think it would look great in the living space (living room to you and me ) too.

If you don’t want herbs in your pots , use tea lights to give a glowing feel at night somewhere in the hallway may look great, but anywhere would do.

The best part of all of this is the cost just £27.99 at Stylish Life.

Flexi salt and pepper shakers

J-me Salt and Pepper shakers

We featured a funky salt and pepper shaker as one of the first posts on Homecheeq.com, I did think to myself how much could you do with the simple process of putting salt or pepper onto your food. Well this flexi shaker has taken the art of salt and pepper shaking to a new level.

You store the salt and pepper in the flexible tubes and when you want to use them you can unravel the tubes and simply shake onto your food from the ends of the tubes. There is no one set way of doing this and I think the flexible tubes will have everyone using them differently.

Stentoft + Rose Vacuum Jug

When I was growing up in the 80’s everyone had a vacuum jug and to be quite honest they were ghastly little things. Apart from the rather less then appealing looks, there was the fiddling around with the top just to get it open so you could have the hot beverage of choice.

The classic Stelton vacuum jug fixes both these problems. To begin with there is no denying it looks stunning, secondly it puts paid to the fiddling with the top business. It has unique rocket stopper which opens when you start to pour and closes when you put the jug down again, genius!
