Ikea Laptop Table

It had to happen one day , as far as I aware this is the first post on Homecheeq from Ikea (correct me I’m wrong please). No matter what you think about Ikea furniture and homeware they do have a way for creating useful solutions.  This laptop table which looks like a stool is a great idea (well i think so) as it allows you to work stood up or using a chair or a stool. As the table can be adjusted to the right height you can use it anywhere around the home.

An armchair fit for a king

Louis XVI Armchair

Louis XVI of France was king of France and then “the French” from 1774 until 1792, he was eventually tried and executed for treason. Despite all this History generally regards him as a honest man, so it is quite apt that this armchair be named after King Louis. It displays good old fashioned French charm and has quite a presence about it. King Louis found it difficult to balance the monarchy with the winds of political change, therefore having furniture like this is a responsibility of style and adapting the space in which it is used to bring out the best features of this opulent design.

Ghost chair

As one of the bestsellers on the site purves.co.uk this ghost chair (£129.00) has certainly proven popular, and you can see why. It has a  certain  uniqueness and novelty value that isn’t tacky but will certainly add a lot to a dining area. It will look best in a  small dining area with an open plan kitchen diner, i just see it being at home in a modern funky contemporary space.

Marks and Spencers Smoked Glass Tables

Nested tables are a great way to save space and have the flexibility of somewhere to have a coffee or eat in front of the box. However not all nested tables look as good as this offereing from Marks and Spencers, normally they are a dour affair not really adding anything to their surroundings. These tables were actually found under “bedside tables” on the M&S site which shows the versatilty of nested tables around your home.

The Tables are made from smoked glass and have a deep brown finish with a modern Italian design.

There is nothing like lounging around in your front room or living space as the more trendy amongst like to call it. A professional lounger needs a companion someone or something to understand his / her every need to be able to help get that prefect lounging position. This red leather pouffe from is the ideal alternative to the sofa, you can lounge on the floor with your head on it or use it just to sit up on, I think you get the idea.

Simply put it looks good and is very verstitle.

Sofa Bed With Style

Modern, chic and stylish are the words that come to mind when looking at the Gem Contemporary Sofa Bed, but it is just that – a sofa bed. I remember when sofa beds looked ugly and would only be put into the spare room for the occasional overnight guest. However, with this little red number I’d not mind having it in my ‘Living Space’ at all, and if you are wondering how it converts into a bed, well the two sides fold down, enough space for one person to sleep on. For more information visit spacify.com , it’s a little in the higher price range costing $790.00 – but can you really put a price on style?

First post for the site and might as well start Retro, so to begin with take a seat and relax as we hope the site develops into something you begin to love. This Tub Chair found over at Iggloo designed by PT Home would look great anywhere around the house; but I think an open plan apartment would really bring out the chrome base.
