Want to spruce up your home? Add a splash of colour with new curtains from The Natural Curtain Company. They offer custom curtains, roman blinds, ready made curtains and matching fabric.
Custom Curtains
If you live in London, a representative can come and measure your windows for free, and help you decide which products are right for you. But you can easily do this on your own. To determine the width, simply measure between the finials of the pole you’ll be hanging your curtains on. For the width, check their website for easy directions to measure, based on inside recess, outside recess or fixed-to-frame curtain styles.
Once you’ve got the correct size, you’ll need to decide on the fabric and liner. There are 15 colours in cotton, 28 in linen, five in silk, velvet, and many more designs in cotton / linen mix.
Roman Blinds
Roman blinds are a popular and attractive alternative to curtains. These gather into gentle pleats when raised, and look softer than common vinyl mini-blinds. The Roman Blinds offered by The Natural Curtain Company are available in custom widths and lengths to fit your windows perfectly. And you can choose from all the fabrics offered in the custom curtain line, including cotton, linen, silk and velvet, in a wide variety of colours and patterns.
Ready Made Curtains
The Natural Curtain Company offers ready made curtains in cotton. Just pick the colour and they will finish them off in the length you specify at no additional charge! They are offered in three standard sizes, with three different lining choices: cotton, thermal and blackout.
Fabric
To complete your room design, purchase matching fabric to make pillow covers or other décor. You can purchase lengths of fabric in all the colours and patterns offered in their custom curtain line.
Retro seems to be the new Modern with everything going retro, from motorcycle helmets to homeware. This retro radio alarm clock is a great example of mixing the modern with the old. Using retro design with a modern digital clock and radio you get best of both words.
It looks great from the front or the back.
This great design won’t cost you the earth either you can pick one up for £22.95 from Ochigo.co.uk who also have a great variety of other clocks in both retro or modern design.

Just one of many great products are Block’s Tea light holders seen above, whether it be the more refined “pot” design which makes use of acrylic and glass or the totally modern cube design both products are stunning.

Slightly controversial post, well for me at least. Is art that you put on your walls Homeware or not, I have yet to come to a solid conclusion but I don’t think it matters for this piece. So Very Unique claim to create Bespoke, affordable and uniquely made pieces for beautiful interiors. No one would argue that this Butterfly art is all of the things the makes claim to be. Handcrafted using 100% silk and paper butterflies it is still affordable at £45.00 a lot cheaper than some woman called Mona Lisa on a canvas. Who said you had to spend big to get a masterpiece?

One of the great things about buying items for the home is that a new addition can give a new lease of life to something old. Now take your standard bed it’s probably something you use more than anything, well you do spend all night asleep on it. A bed isn’t the easiest item of furniture to spruce up, some new covers will give it a little life but won’t radically change the way it looks in general.
It is for this reason that the collapsible canopy by Cote Bastide and available at BODIE and FOU is something that caught the eye. For £195.00 you get the frame that turns any bed into a 4 poster bed and with it will change your whole bedroom. You can also buy the drapes to go with the frame for an additional £110.00 or suppose you could make your own.

Nested tables are a great way to save space and have the flexibility of somewhere to have a coffee or eat in front of the box. However not all nested tables look as good as this offereing from Marks and Spencers, normally they are a dour affair not really adding anything to their surroundings. These tables were actually found under “bedside tables” on the M&S site which shows the versatilty of nested tables around your home.
The Tables are made from smoked glass and have a deep brown finish with a modern Italian design.

Curtains are an important part of a room’s decor, they can either be used to subtly blend into the general look of a room or to be a centre point for it. These pink floral curtains from Casa Casa draw all the attention, some may say a brave choice, others the obvious choice for a neutral room.

From Chigo comes the ultimate in leather products – a gold leather cushion. I presume it didn’t come from the hide of a golden cow. Really something special to have around the house, I guess it won’t suit every type of room, maybe a boudoir type setup would go nicely with it.
At £34.95 it may be an idea to scatter these around as you won’t be having a bed / sofa full of gold cushions.

Most definitely one for the kids, get them to put away their toys and do their ABC’s at the same time. Why stop at their ABC’s, a blank chalkboard should really fire up the children’s imagination. We came across this over at Matalan so head over to your local store if you want one of these.
A novel idea; making putting away your toys a little more fun.
