I have a weakness for bright things and back in the 70’s everything was bright be it clothes or homeware , there was something about that time that really made you forget about being seen as tacky with something so bright. This Olive colured and Olive shaped jar is the perfect example of this the design is bright funky and desirable, measuring at about 10 inches high this jar can be used for anything really even just decor. It would look great in a minimalist two tone kitchen , might even add a little spark to the place.
You can find this and lots of other vintage homewares at Oxford Tea Party , who are based on Oxford (no surprises there).

Keeping your home tidy is a constant battle between you and “things” which seem to appear from nowhere in a place where they have no right to be, this is especially true if you have children. With children comes responsibility , this we all know but what people never seem to realise is how much clutter can accompany a little person. Once you have got over all the baby-ware and are just about coping with nappies will come the toys.
Over the years the toys multiply and multiply until you think one day “where do I put all these things ?”. Well with these handy stackable storage boxes from very.co.uk (the new name for littlewoods direct) help is truly at hand. The really nice thing about these boxes is that with them being colourful and bright , and coming in boys and girls colours you can get your child to take some responsibility for doing their own tidying up. It will be almost like a new toy to them and clutter will be gone forever (we hope).
At £35.00 for the three boxes seen above the price is right too , more information here
