I really like the homeware department at Matalan you can walk in and pick anything up and know you don’t really have to look at the price before you decide to buy as everything is such great value. This is not to say that it has no style, as can be seen from this Venetian tissue box (£8.00) simple clean design to hold your tissues.
For some homeware is all about designer furniture for me though it’s more about using what is available and affordable to cerate a unique home for yourself, so there is nothing wrong with mixing your Matalan with your designer bling.

It’s hot . it’s summer and we all gotta drink and that includes the kids. So to keep the little people happy and keep their drinks cool , log onto The Conran Shop and get your hands on one of these wheel barrow coolers, you as shown above (photo taken from Living Ect).

There are few fabrics that give a sense of comfort and luxury like Velvet and there is no type of seating that gives that extra level of superiority like a Chaise Lounge, or Long Chair to you and me. This Chaise from sheerhome.co.uk costs £548.00 and is available in different colours of Velvet too.

Outdoor or Indoor dining this simple chip ‘n dip plate will be a versatile and stylish addition to your tableware. Great for dinner parties and some nibbles with a little dip, even better for a sitting on the patio with some nibbles on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

It’s summer (I’m sure i started one of my other posts with these words before) so why not switch off the idiot box and get outside in the garden. Grab a table cloth , a throw or something, plonk it down on the grass and have a picnic. invite the neighbors, the kids friends and anyone else you can find.
Before you do all that get down to Next (not 100% sure you can get them in store) and this set of pitcher and Hi balls (ok so it’s just a new name for a glass) , £10 for the Pitcher , £8 for the Hi balls would go great with some Robinson’s Orange and Pineapple Squash.

Inspired by Polish paper cutting this limited edition Welsh Rabbit screen print (not including the frame) is simple , elegant and beautiful. From Mibo Lighting and Homewares at just £19.50 (£3.95 for postage) it’s something unique and different for your landing or living space.

For all of those who have been to India or the Sub-continent the design on this sideboard will be familiar as this kind of colorful design is seen on buses and the like. Bright colours and bright these kinds of design are the call of the day to make things more lively. Made in India this Buffet as Masisons DU Monde like to call it will brighten up any old room.
Each one of the 4 doors are handcrafted and painted to ensure a truly unique feel to your finished product. The legs and the frames are made from Mango Wood whereas the panels , doors and drawers are made from MDF. With 4 drawers and and 1 shelf there is plenty of storage space too.
This would great off a Magnolia wall which is all the rage now and maybe even off a dark wall such as dark blue or black but dare I try that I doubt.

Do not adjust your monitors, do not think why there is a crushed plastic cup being blogged on Homecheeq.com, this is not a test. What this IS for sure is a real coffee cup (or tea for us English) designed to look like a crushed cup as the picture above shows.
Designed by Rob Brandt it is described by site Made in Design as a classic of design so many of you may have seen it already, however there is nothing wrong with having classic designs on Homecheeq.com or indeed in your home. So for the £4.95 not only can you get a design classic but also something to amuse your friends with.

There is nothing more British than a cup of tea, but it has to be the right mug you can’t be drinking from a summery mug in the middle of winter it just wouldn’t be right would it. With these four seasons mugs from Noddle you can enjoy your favourite beverage in a mug to reflect the seasons outside.
Made from fine china with a ingenious photographic print that gives each mug a seasonal feel to it. Starting at £34.00 including the post and packaging there is little reason for anyone to resist these mugs.

The summer is here and despite the UK weather being a little unpredictable the popularity of fans has never been higher. Years ago you would never find fans in every shop you walk into , now they are around every corner. But those with a little style can’t have just any old fan you need one that looks as cool as it feels.
This is where the Otto Fan comes in , to say it looks stunning is an understatement it really stands out from the plastic ridden fans that most places sell. The design says a few things; Strong , solid, powerful and funky. It oozes confidence and gives you the confidence it will do it’s job, so stop hiding the fan away in the corner , sit it in the middle of the room and let it blow some cool into your home.
Found on pedlars.co.uk (Pedlars web store) it costs £295.00 but it looks like it could last forever and you will be hard pushed to find a better looking fan for your home.
